![]() ![]() I did find in idea.log, the following as the final "caused by" failure points: 12:56:23,314 WARN - loyment.ui.WebServerConfigForm - Could not list the contents of folder "sftp://HOSTNAME/". I even downloaded FileZilla, both FTP and SFTP works for the accounts that PHPStorm is failing on. Tunneling into mySQL in navicat using that username also works. However, SSH login to that account on the server works from both computers. I left other connections that do work out of fear that whatever it is will start failing on them as well (cached connection setup?) I tried deleting existing connection for the user. I even switch to using SSH key auth instead of password, still no go. Any new connections, also fail, even a brand new account I set up for testing. other connections that I have used recently in PHP storm, hosted on our same server, all work on both machines. I have a connection that worked before (hasn't been used for a couple days), and suddenly stopped working, When trying to connect, I either get "Permission Denied" or "Exhausted available authentication methods". This is on BOTH my laptop and desktop system. Ok, so this is latest version of the program, on Windows 10. Until then in the linked support ticket you can find where they have a custom build with the fix in place. ![]() It's not endorsed by Jetbrains, nor affiliated in anyway with them, all trademarks and copyrights regarding it belong to JetBrains.ĮDIT: support fixed the issue and it will be in an upcoming version. It is always ready to help you shape your code, run unit-tests or provide visual debugging. So this solves 2 problems: 1.) why the heck doesn't xdebug log anything on its server (it does!) 2.) descendant file problem.PhpStorm is a lightweight and smart PHP IDE focused on developer productivity that deeply understands your code, provides smart code completion, quick navigation and on-the-fly error checking. This might work: xdebug.remote_log="/var/www/xdebug_log.txt" I imagine that if I enter an valid linux path, I might be able to put the file somewhere else. It appears that Xdebug saves that log file inside of the folder where the requested php file came from (in my case, my project's index.php file). (the bolded part is the actual file name) var/www/myproject/ C:\Users\Buttle\PhpstormProjects\xdebug_log.txt Using windows path is wrong: xdebug.remote_log="C:\Users\Buttle\PhpstormProjects\xdebug_log.txt" Why? Because the value called "remote_log", so I mistakenly thought it wanted the path on my windows machine, which I thought was very strange at the time. I had this same problem, but it was not due to Firefox and I wonder if the original asker might have made the same mistake I did in configuring his xdebug.Īs a newbie, in setting the value for xdebug.remote_log in my php.ini (actually in separate xdebug.ini), I used the windows file path to my project on my local machine. In any case - this is the ticket to watch after - hopefully the used library (for SFTP communications) will allow handling such situations better in the future. That's odd (and hard to believe for me) - they should know about such issue for sure - you are not first who is facing the same error. Such file is usually created by Firefox on Linux (google that file name for additional details). After that you will be able to continue with PhpStorm built-in SFTP functionality. The solution is to connect to your SFTP using another program (e.g. Unfortunately such file name is invalid on Windows and library used for SFTP communications in PhpStorm does not allow to process such files in any way (yes, it's valid as full path but not as file name alone). YES - it's on Ubuntu and YES - it's actually a file name and not full path (Linux allows : and \ characters in file names). You have a file on your Ubuntu server with that C:\nppdf32Log\debuglog.txt name. ![]()
